OK so here's the inlet that I focused on next First I cut out the opening so i did my scribing till I was able to scribe through the fiberglass. I totally gave up on the hot knife idea. Next I made a insert ring from styrene. (The screen filter is inset so needed some way of pushing the screen further back. I cut some screen that i had for my model boats and pulled the edges up and glued these this lip to the styrene. Here the screened inlet is temporarily placed. Once epoxied I'll sand the edges flush.

Thanks Dr. Evil! Appreciate the compliment... I forgot to mention how I got the styrene to conform to the shape I needed. I made a wood plug a little smaller than what the final shape needed to be and then heated the styrene corners with a blow dryer so the corners bent easily. I used some clamps to hold the styrene in place till it cooled. Then I spliced the joints together by gluing a small styrene strip on the backside. Not sure if anyone noticed but the step/handhold on the lower right side was not placed correctly. The step is suppose to be mounted towards the bottom of the recess instead of the top which is where I put it, so I need to move this down and will do that when I cut out the recess.

Wow, since I do not like the looks of the Tiger I ignored this thread. My loss, glad I finally did look at it.
Really amazed at the work you've been doing Gugie, any chance on posting a pic of the whole Tiger as it is right now?

Dr Evil, i had to pick myself off the floor from laughing so hard because that's exactly what she was doing! I had forgot as the pictures were taken a while back (In November) My wife and I laughed so hard as she was making all these whirly noises any gyrating all over the place. (after these pictures were taken) It was pretty hilarious as she didn't know we were watching her.

Gang thanks for the compliments! Sorry for the lag in my build, work got in the way again. Should be able to jump back in in another day or so. I need to finish cutting the right side hatch to get access to the rear mechanics mounting bolt and I also need to add the hinges and latches. My goal is to have this done by this weekend. Last step will be to paint it as i never could duplicate the factory color.
