4.08 is plenty so it could also be your battery dropping too low under load.

It's a brand new Thor pack...I guess I could try another pack to find out. Could there be something wrong in the motor causing it to pull too hard?

Would I be correct to assume my blades being severely out of track and then doing a negative climb out would also cause a major amp draw? I was also searching for yge issues like this and I'm seeing a lot about this booster cable....think the yep could have the same issue?

It's a sad day re programmed and got gov store set. Went to just hover it a bit. Did a very slight pitch pump and it just shot way up, felt out of control pitch ways. Came back down rather fast and again felt uncontrollable. Slammed it into the ground. Pretty sure it needs a re-kit and as both frame sides are done with the usuals. As the chaos 600 hasn't been available for a long time now I think I'm going to have to switch unless it pops up in the next month.

Chitty, Very sorry to hear about the crash. Dampens the enthusiasm a bit. I'm pretty sure Cliff and Robert were buying parts from the Phoenixtech parts supplier and re-packaging them as a Chaos 600. Those parts used to be available on eBay but not anymore. They probably crashed and took RCA with them. But aren't the frames the same as the T-rex frames? I thought that the only parts that were different were the horizontals; base plate, battery tray, tail gear case etc.?

Yeah I can get parts it'll be more than half a kit though.....I'm sure I'll just rebuild but it really sucks.....especially not even knowing what caused it

Straight up / straight down sounds like a transmitter collective pot problem.

I am thinking about selling my 600 to help fund my car restoration To be honest I am a little scared of the 600 and think a 450 would be better for me

Straight up / straight down sounds like a transmitter collective pot problem. +1 on that. Are you using the same Rx after the crashes? Did the motor spin up and down to cause it? It sounds like it did not. I would try and find the problem first. That really sucks man.

yes same rx i've had since the beginning....no the motor rpm did not change just the pitch. That's the thing, I don't know how to find the problem. Everything seems like it's working when it's on the ground and even in a regular hover. Anything more than that it just seems to go crazy. First it was cutting out and now this. It all happened so fast I really don't know what happened or where to start.

I think I have narrowed it down to a signal issue. The esc flashed 5 times when I brought it down which means signal loss. I do also remember the rx blinking every so often instead of staying solid. The weird thing is it just seems to be losing throttle signal. Does that makes sense to be a rx issue? Thinking about just replacing the rx.

Spektrum RX?? Do you have one or two sat Rx's? I check mine after each flight and I never get the blinking lights (signal Loss) and I did go out quite far a few times. I would try another RX as you also said the pitch jumped. Maybe the rx, depending on the model one you have, went into failsafe and it jumped, then got the signal and it dived. Either way, sounds like an RX issue alright.
