Here are some sneak peek pics of the new OXY 3 from OXY Heli Division (Lynx Heli Innovations). This is still the Beta version so some things may still change from the final production model. I will also be doing a full build of the production version for you guys.
Again this is the Beta version so more details will be released soon! Enjoy the pics and I'll try to answer any questions you may have. All I can say is this is going to be a perfect yard bird!
Here are a few pics of the beta canopy. Production version will be more streamline.
If you guys have ever followed my builds or reviews you will see I strive for a extremely clean wired bird. The smaller the machine the harder to make it look good but with a little effort the OXY offers plenty of room for electronics. I've found the Lynx clear gyro tape is Perfect for securing wires down to the Heli.
Everything plugged in and secure. Time to re-install the side frame.
All buttoned up and ready for its maiden. This Lynx 4100KV motor is go into be a PowerHouse!
This one will be running on 3S with a 14T pinion
Sexy MKS servos looking good all around
Unique tail boom design and tail case
ZEAL 255's looking sharp
I decided with the snow and daylight savings time I'm only left with the weekends to fly hoping it is nice when the weekend comes... Well I thought hey bring it to work with you and fly between service calls. I was able to get in 8 flights today. It was only 20 degrees out so I stood inside the back of my work van and flew. Wasn't really that bad just warmed the fingers real quick between flights.
Flight Report: WOW... This 4100Kv motor pulls like a freaking freight train! Motor to weight ratio is perfect. Even if you guys put a big ESC on her I don't think you would notice the minimal weight difference. The 3S Pulse packs work great and I set my timer to 3:00 and come down with about 35% left in the pack. I've been flying the OXY at 100% flat TC and sounds like she is spinning at least 3900-4100RPM. No tuning of the iKON needed other than turning the tail gains down to 30%. The OXY pulled off super crisp and fast hurricanes, funnels, tic tocs, piros and more! The canopy colors are incredibly easy to see even under low overcast light like today.

Here is my OXY travel case I made last night. It is a SKB i-series 1914-8 case with pull and pluck foam insert, multiple handles, wheels and pull handle. It just meets TSA guidelines so it will fit in the overhead carry on!
