Ahhh, gottcha bro.! Thanks..... I was just wondering as I know at some point a scale fuse will be on my list of stuff to do...LOL. No problem ..On a scale it's stressed alot to put esc's and bec's on the outside of the frame due to heat because it's a major risk.On a non scale (pod & boom) ,you get no airflow what so ever if there inside the frame because it's covered. On either type of build, you'll want them on the outside so they stay as cool as they can..People put them under the canopy but they still get air from the main blade's..They get no air at all inside the frame's because the top of the frame's block airflow..None of my electronics get warm, they all run cool and that's what you want..If it's warm on the ouside,it's hot on the inside..Here's a log showing what im talking about. You can see max temp on my esc is 80F on the inside of the controller, that's warm

If I was putting my bird into a fuse i'd put a fan in there also. Something like a PC fan.
No arguement from me either onthedeck. Thats whats forums are about....putting out all the info and helping so people can make there own mind up based on as much facts as possible.

Ok - now I am upset.... I moved it to the outside and all was great. did a few practice flights in all about 15min all good did not seem to get to hot. Next day went to go for a fly and hit the throttle switch and "Smoke" came out of the SBEC.......Dam Dam Don’t know what happened? It was the Phoenixtech 115A Gold Line SBEC that came in the Chaos kit. The BEC side of things is still ok just no main power to motor. So what does every one recommend I replace it with? The motor is a Phoenixtech 5052 1100kv. I was thinking of something around 160amp mark just to cover me?

It shouldn't of done that and a 100A esc is more than enough for a 6S setup..You could of gotton a bad one ..PM Jeff chaoscrewlounge.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=admin and tell him what happend. He'll get you taken care of..
