So I am new to scale helicopters not helicopters in general. I am looking at doing my first one with a chaos 450 using a night wolf fuse lodge, cause its a standard 2 blade head with those. So where I am running into the problem is selecting a good motor/esc to give me the proper head speed I keep reading for a 450 I want to be around 2000-2200rpms is this correct? I would like you guys to shed some light on this subject for me any input would be appreciated.
Setup: Nightwolf fuse lodge with the $20 mechanics which I believe are chaos haven't been able to get RCA to verify that for me Servos Cyclic RJX, and DS520M for tail. Gyro: either black widow or AR7200BX don't really know anything about the black widow gyro if they are good or not. Motor: Scorpion 2221-12 running on 3s with 12T pinion setting throttle to 80% give me around 2064. ESC: not sure would like to find something with governor any thoughts?
Trying to stick with 3s cause I have several for other birds.
If you guys have any input on something to change with my setup I would appreciate it, also any input on head speed does it really make that big of a difference on a 450 size scale I know I down want to be at 3d head speed.

Welcome to the site slimmer! Your setup looks like a good one. Headspeed doesn't really apply to a 450 as far as scale. You have to get the headspeed rocking pretty good to lift the mechanics and the fuselage on a 450. The mechanics for $20 is not a Chaos. It is just a standard 450 style V2 clone. Great for a scale project. I have built five of RCA's scalers so far in 450 size and have enjoyed each one. Quality is best on the MD500's. As far as setup and motors. I've always thrown my 450Pros with 3300kv and 4400kv motors right inside the fuselages and turns headspeed down. Never had any issues with overheating or run time and always run 3s. I just fly fixed end points with flat TS ex. 0,70,70,70,70 or 0,80,80,80,80. I only fly governor mode on my bigger 3D birds because I need a consistent and contestant head speed when performing 3D maneuvers. Here is a link to a few of my 450 videos. Personally the Easiest 450 to build is an MD500. Just bolt and go! Chris Airwolf Thread: www.chaoscrewlounge.proboards.com/thread/652/bell-size-airwolf-pictures-video

Well way to burst my bubble on the chaos mechanics lol then I may just have to order a chaos black widow interested in trying. Also could I just use the standard electronics from a trex 450 for a scale 450 and change to an 11 or 12 T pinion and not have any issue have a line on some from a guy cheap never used. With the MD500 do guys worry about not having multi blade heads for some reason that is making me nervous to do.

Sorry but no one is getting Chaos Pro mechs for $20 lol Like I said I have thrown all my 450 Pros inside 4 of my 5 scale builds which I had setup for extreme 3D. All I did was lower the headspeed and Boom, scale like flying. I used all stock electronics in all of mine. 2 bladed head works fine and you can always switch to a multi blade head later and just reprogram FBL controller. I really urge you to go MD500. If you look at the Airwolf thread I attached above it really does show up good at dusk. The MD500 series are extremely bright!
Here is a look at the new Pro

Stock blades work just fine. I fly Edge on most my birds because I am a field rep for them and most my scale birds started off as 3D ships first then converted then to scale. If you ever go multi blade I recommend some nice plastic fiber scale blades. They are less aggressive and give it a softer scale feel.
