My FPV project has been put on hold for a bit due to my misunderstanding of the Chineglish OSD manual. I was having trouble getting a GPS lock, as in no signal at all. So i broke out the manual and tried figuring out the problem. This is the section that got me
I understood it as I had to move the jumper to pins 2 and 3. Well as soon as I plugged in the Video battery my V-Tx popped. So now I have to order a new V-Tx with the same channels to carry on with the build that is going to have to wait for a month or so because I want to get my car running first. I thought I could repair the computer in the car, but the damage to it isn't what I thought/hoped it was and even though I could fix it, for the time and money I would have to put into it I can buy a manufactured one with a lifetime warranty.
Once I get the car running and can move it in the driveway without pushing it or towing it with the lawn tractor I will pick this up again. It could be on a different air frame by then too, i am thinking about a hand launch belly lander so I have more places to fly it.
Important: select Jumper instructions: 1, 2 short circuit for using power batteries(which must be 12V, or
3S Lipo batteries); remove the jumper cap, and connect 2 and 3 to power up OSD and wireless video
equipments separately with additional 12V power supply. When mounting OSD main board to the aircraft,
please check whether the position is installed correctly, namely the nose of the small white plane design
on the main board points to the direction of the aerial carrier's nose.
