Well I ordered my electronics today from HK so the wait begins In the mean time here are the pictures I took yesterday of the air frame. I know I am going to have to tweet the wing angle a bit once I get everything together, but being foam it will be easy enough

Very cool George! Did you have the urge to throw it in the air to see if it'll glide?

Yes ;D, but with no weight in the nose it wouldn't have worked very well That and the mocked up landing gear is only held on by tooth picks it would have been a rough landing I found a use for the broken MCPX tail booms too, they are glued in as stiffeners on the rudder and elevators

I know, and it takes them 24 hours to pick one part from a shelf. My ESC is STILL being picked as I write this. I was warehouse supervisor for Intel Ireland in my younger days so I know how large warehouses work. The manager should be sacked. Have to say HK UK are very good. If I order on Monday it is at my door on Friday. Which was handy because the last 2 batteries I got were dodgy. Zippys. They replaced them without me sending anything back which was also nice.

Yeah they are a little slow on picking the orders in Hong Kong, but we don't have a HK Canada and the US warehouse shipping to Canada is UPS and they pretty much double the price with brokerage fees to Canada making the wait from Hong Kong worth it.

Anything UPS or USAP gets caught in customs here. My Naza from RCA got caught. Them companies are large and have their own planes and when the come into the airport the just inspect the whole plane while other planes parcel stuff just goes through. My order is still being picked lol. Maybe tomorrow!

A large warehouse like that should be operating 24/7. But seeing as it's chinese yes they probably don't open Sundays! You could be right as it is still being picked now.

I agree, I have worked in warehouses that were smaller that ran 24/7, but a different culture means different priorities. I decided on painting my bird yellow. I thought I had bought enough paint for the job, but after some testing on scraps to make sure everything was foam safe, it turns out I was wrong At first I thought I could get away with watering the paint down a bit to make it flow through the airbrush better, but if I added any water it peeled of the paper on all of my test pieces. The clear I bought was too think to spray straight and I got the same results when I thinned it down to spray. Since my hinges are the paper from the foam core I couldn't stretch out the paint and I will have to use packing tape to protect the foam core and paint from the elements. Todays end result is I only got 2 thin coats on the wing before I ran out of paint. It is at the good enough stage in poor light, but I want a good paint job in sunlight. Not sure how many more coats it will take, but i am bring the wing out into the sun light once the last coat dries and judge from there. I am definitely going to need at least 2 more bottles of paint to finish the job. I am not painting the fuse till i get my radio tray laid out and that means waiting for the electronics to get here, so I have a few weeks before I will need more paint ;D

It's been Chinese New Year recently, so they may still be shutdown from that. I think it's almost a month or close to it that most places in China shutdown. I could be horribly wrong, but I know it's a long time.
