Hi: Doc 121 I have an Apache in a 450 size. it was harder to build then the big Apache's. I wish i had built a nother big Apache. The 600 size Apache should make for an easy build. My 450 has a moving gun , TADS, Elevt, lighting system, two RX, two batt and spot light. After all that, there is no more room for anything ealse. Your 600 will give you way more room for electronic placement. I enjoy flying the 450 but the GYM walls would seem closer to me with a 600 size Apache. Good luck on the build and post photos for all to enjoy. wayne Attachments:

Hi, jetset65
I'm in the middle of a 450 size Apache build. Like the kit on RCA site. But I bought it from helipartz.com before RCA started to sell them. They are TIGHT! So far it's being a bear to build. Right now I'm working on a cascading tail rotor I saw on RCG. I hope to have it done soon, but a lot of things keep popping up. It's still fun though!

hi: Doc 121 My 450 is from RC Areodyne. I think they are all the same. You are right, when you get done there will be very little room for anything more. If i can be of any help, let me know. Good luck on the build and post photos. It sounds like it will be a Gerat build. wayne Attachments:

I did a 500 Apache. It took a shoe horn to get the mechanics in there. Mike Attachments:

Hey miket, Are you flying that with upgrades or just stock? Stock but upgraded (redesigned) the supplied belt drive with something a friend and I devised. The original belt drive design left a bit to be desired. Mike

Hi: Miket Very nice Apache, I know the feeling about getting the mechanics down in the body. When i got the Mechanics flying just right, I cut the top back deck off the tail boom and set the mechanics down into the body and never had to pull anything off the mechanics. A little more work but very easy to work on and never made any changes to the mechanics. Great looking Apache Miket. wayne Attachments:

Hi, jetset65, are you upgraded or stock? I have a cc ice 50 ,blue lipo 4s & Scorpion 2221-12-v2 to go in mine with a Lightningheli 4 blade head. I have a Copterx 3x1000 3axis gyro I was thinking of using. I've read that with the proper phasing on the head you don't really need stabilization. But I think i like the security blanket feeling with it.

The aircraft flies fine, no issues at all...just my 2 cents.. ;D

Hi: Old city painter
Both the heli and the body looks Great. On my 450 Apache, everything is stock. I am running a Scorpion 2221 with 12T pin. The mach are a cheep set from RC Areodyne called: Full house hobby. I am running a 70 amp ESC (over kill) . It was all i had to use becouse the New 40 amp ESC i got from RC Areodyne would keep kicking out and die.

I too am running the Scorp motor with an 11T pinion. I am also using a Scorp 45 amp ESC which will take 4S. Currently running 3S. May be another week or so before I order the fuselage. Spent last night painting up blade striping, and a few more test flights were done today. The GY48V gyro is a cheapie I had laying around...seems to work ok....
